Turtle Decor for Baby's Nursery
60Turtle's in the Nursery
Turtles are lovable and they capture the imagination of young and old alike. They can be sweet, elegant, sophisticated, or cool. They can be classy or sassy. What ever you fancy, there is a turtle that is right for you.
Decorating the nursery is a fun task, and to make it simple, choose a single accessory to build off of. Choose something that strikes a chord in you, when you think about your little one. Choose something that not only suits an infant, but a toddler and child as well. Make it something worth keeping at the center of your decorating for years to come.
When choosing that accessory, remember, it does not have to be the largest thing in the room. In fact, in a nursery the crib will be the center of attention. The rocking chair and dresser or wardrobe are next in order of importance. This accessory is just that: an accessory. It is a starting point, to bring the entire room together, to make it cohesive.
I like to choose something that is movable and usable. Something that will still be appreciated when the child is grown. Ceramic penny or pyggy banks have always been one of my favorite accessories. They are usable, beautiful and will last a life time, with just a touch of care. Plus, these turtles are adorabe. Paintings and prints are my second choice for that just right accessory, followed closely by clocks.
Making the Nursery Come Alive
Once you have chosen your turtle accessory, you have a basic color pallet to work from. What? It is only one color? Then choose colors that you enjoy next to it, or work with a monochromatic scheme. Either will create dynamic results.
Turtle bedding for boys and girls is readily available in sets and individually. Get a set or pick and choose the pieces you like. For a simple look, I would get several sets of whites sheets and a green crib skirt. Then find a special blanket, to cuddle baby in. A complimentary bumper pad and a mobile will make the bed complete.
